The aim of the program lies in providing students with qualitative professional training in the sphere of project management in accordance with the state and international education and professional standards.
Forms of studying: full-time and part-time.
Duration of studying: 1 year
Admission requirements:
Diploma of completed higher education (master or specialist level) in any field of studying;
Work record – not less than 2 years in the spheres of material and non-material production. Competition based selection.
Graduates of the program get state diploma of completed higher education with obtaining the qualification Project and Program Manager.
A successful defense of master thesis and a state diploma in major Project Management give graduates the opportunity to get certified in the Ukrainian Project Management Association, member of the International Project Management Association. The certification program consists of four levels oriented at assessment of knowledge, skills and expertise in the sphere of project management. The participants are given internationally recognized certificate of the Ukrainian Project Management Association. The levels are as follows:
Project Director, IPMA Level A: is able to manage an important portfolio or program, and not only separate project; effective in using resources, methodology and techniques that are certification subject.
Senior Project Manager, IPMA Level B: is able to administrate a complex project. He can also conduct subprojects, i.e. a manager can administrate other managers but cn not be the head of the project team.
Project Manager, IPMA Level C: is capable of managing projects of limited complexity. This indicates that he can implement his knowledge into practice and has demonstrated a corresponding experience level.
Project Manager Associate, IPMA Level D: is capable to implement knowledge in project management and can be engaged in project as one of the team members, although his general knowledge are not sufficient enough to carry out more complex tasks.
Specific program features:
Educational process is conducted by qualified professors with extended practical experience in elaboration and implementation of project management methodology at the enterprises in Ukraine. They also have international certificates, that indicate their knowledge and skills in project management;
Use of modern teaching methods: solving of real life practical situations, team work at problem solving and decision making in project management, business games for project elaboration, programs and program portfolios;
Completion of the tasks of operating Ukrainian enterprises and participation in international projects, writing of master thesis for specific companies;
Teaching with the help of modern technical means, multi-media presentations in specialized lecture halls in accordance with international standards (PMI та IPMA), providing students with electronic textbooks, presentations, handouts, reference books;
Implementation of project office technologies, modern project management informational technologies on the bases of software complexes “Altinvest”, "Project expert", "WBS Chart Pro", "Microsoft Project", "Primavera Project Planner";
Participation in international conferences in project management, giving out of conferences materials, scientific works collections “Project management and production development”;
Training and preparation for certification exam at IPMA.
The list of main constituent parts of program curriculum:
Project team formation, organization project structure elaboration, dynamic leadership in program, program portfolios and project management;
Strategis, financial, innovational management in project management;
Project activity planning, marketing and investment research, formation of a project proposal;
Planning and execution of project management processes (integration, content, time, price, labour resources, quality, risk etc. management) ;
Project oriented enterprises management, development projects management;
Informational technologies in project management;
Implementation of project management for the development of enterprises in informational technologies, construction, marketing, trade, banking, telecommunications, mobile service etc.
